AUSTRALIA

THE LAND DOWN UNDER

Last April 2016, I spent my term break in the land down under, where I first experienced my most favorite season, autumn–when we wore winter clothes because hell yes the weather was nippy for us already (9DEG). Agh, I love how some people would just walk barefoot on the streets (as I’ve seen some in Port Stephens), and also how we never ran out of water because everything was just potable (but still, mind where you’re getting water from lol.) Traffic is NONEXISTENT as compared to here in the Philippines. The heat of the sun never gave me any scorching feeling. NSW has a lot of lookouts that are purely breathtaking. There’s so much more to say but I might not finish this entry anymore. So here were the highlights! (PS: Excuse the faces tho sorry)

It’s a cockatoo! Mom had to take multiple shots just for a decent shot. I look scared and weird.

While we were walking to see the Blue Mountain, we came across this picturesque view so I had to sit. 😀

View of the Blue Mountains as we were going up via the Scenic Cableway of Scenic World. Going down, we rode the Scenic Railway which is apparently the steepest railway in the world. Another trivia, it was called Blue Mountains because of its abundance of eucalyptus leaves. ORAYT. Now, can you spot the Three Sisters in the picture?

Just feeding them cockatoos. No big deal.

Saw this restaurant somewhere on Facebook and decided to look for it. IT TOOK US HOURS WALKING UP AND DOWN THE STREETS JUST TO EAT LUNCH AT THIS PLACE (located in Surrey St., Darlinghurst). LOL. But I gotta say it was worth it!

I was amazed by how they served their cacio e pepe – the waiter held this big plate of cheese which they would call as the ‘cheese wheel’ while mixing the pasta inside!
